Future Plans

The NWDEF, through the Deerassic Park Education Center and the Ohio Whitetail Hall of Fame Museum, promises a unique and innovative approach through its many programs and learning experiences.

We’ve got great things in store. In the coming years, we plan to:

I. Build the Ohio Whitetail Hall of Fame and Museum

On the grounds of the Deerassic Park Education Center, the museum will house a collection of whitetail deer mounts and antlers that have been accumulated since the mid 1970s. It is considered the largest collection of world-class whitetails ever assembled.

The museum complex will include educational dioramas to demonstrate the importance of this animal throughout our country’s history, as well as a collection of ancient Native American artifacts, modern-day flint-knapping artifacts, a gift shop, restaurant, and other facilities. This multi-faceted project has the potential to become a major education center and tourist attraction with national impact.
